D23 Costume

This year I'm starting my Halloween/Comic Con costume early so I can take it to D23, the Disney convention.

This year I'm going to be cosplaying as Mary Poppins:

So my friend Cee Cee is making a lot of the costume for me. Cee Cee is a professional costumer and is making the carpet bag and skirt; and is altering the coat, shirt and gloves for me. Plus she's doing something to make that hat look better. 

So that leaves the scarf, umbrella, shoes, and wig.

Well to do this I had to learn to crochet:

So I lost a stitch in the middle of the dark pink row.

The shoes also came in, but I had to return them, they were too small. :(

Wings on the bear.

I attached the wings using screws and anchors. This should do a much better job than glue.
I also anchored in the ape (and wolf). 

I used the anchors to attach the Falconzord to the bear.

I've got to say, the wings are looking might nice! 

Old Navy flip flops make great knee pads.

Costume Update:Falcon Day 5

Ninja MegaFalconZord:

Sorry I missed a day, but I was angry with Falconzord, his head just won't stay on!

Falconzord neck (see the wooden dowell?) Hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow to an attached head.

Tbe wings! (First day on the wings, there's a lot of progress though).

 I'm happy that I'm almost finished. I can't stand the mess in my apartment anymore. I'm tired of being covered in glue... etc. I'm ready to just wear the costume!

 I missed yesterday's update, so this is the falcon at the end of the 3rd day.

Still needs wings. I think I might make flat legs. There really isn't any room on the costume for 3D legs.
